Burnaby, BC - BC NDP candidate Joe Trasolini, former Mayor of Port Moody and current BC NDP candidate, attended the January 2012 meeting of the New Westminster & District Labour Council where he invited delegates to join his campaign in a highly anticipated by-election for MLA in Port Moody-Coquitlam. Trasolini thanked the delegates for the opportunity to speak and outlined his leadership achievements as the Mayor of Port Moody and his support for the BC NDP.
Trasolini announced his campaign is underway with the official opening of his campaign office in Port Moody last weekend and he looks forward to the fight to win the constituency. He said he doesn't underestimate the battle that lies ahead and asked delegates for their support by volunteering to help out on the campaign. Carolyn Rice, Secretary-Treasurer and Lori Mayhew, President, encouraged delegates to support Trasolini's campaign and attend the campaign office located at 2608 St. John's Street in Port Moody.
